HISTORIC ESTATE KITCHEN

Renovating a kitchen in a historic estate is a delicate balance between preserving the past and welcoming the present. In this Media, PA project, our client entrusted us with updating the heart of their home—a space that carried generations of history—without sacrificing the classic character that made it special. The goal was to modernize the kitchen to suit today’s needs while preserving the architectural integrity that gives the home its soul.

We approached the design with a deep respect for the home’s heritage, sourcing materials that honored its age and craftsmanship while incorporating contemporary amenities like energy-efficient appliances, improved layout, and better lighting. Original elements such as moldings and millwork were carefully restored or matched, and the cabinetry was custom-built to feel timeless yet fresh. The color palette draws on traditional tones, subtly refreshed to reflect a brighter, more open aesthetic. Every detail, from the backsplash to the hardware, was selected to echo the home’s original charm while adding beauty and usability. The finished space is both functional and warm—a kitchen where history and modern life come together in quiet harmony.
